S.S. Daley Fall 2024 is Wonderful

"Elliot's Room," Daley's playful collection, showed at Pitti Uomo this year, and it's great. This is my highlight for Fall/Winter 2024.

S.S. Daley Fall 2024 is Wonderful
A duvet coat is the perfect way to take a nap in the... wait what?

Steven Stokey-Daley has been getting plenty of love over the past few years. In 2022, he won both the coveted LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers and the British Fashion Council Foundation Award.

Showing at Pitti Uomo 105, "Elliot’s Room" explores the brand's common themes of British boyhood upbringing and class dynamics by evoking needlepoint tapestries; rugby shirts; upscale rest, relaxation, and play; dormitory life... The show was styled by longtime friend of the brand Harry Lambert, whose outside styling work has also often engaged these themes of boyhood and play.

Features that stood out to me:

  • sleep themes, and loungewear generally
  • big jackets
  • cool bags
  • kilted loafers
  • stuff I'd wear to a beach in the winter if I were rich enough to own a weather machine

So here are my personal highlights. Let's start with the tailoring!
